Unintended Benefits

December 17, 2013 by Angel Pricer

photo (4)I hadn’t planned on making anymore posts this year.  I also hadn’t planned on using mandala creation as a means of channeling love into the challenging work situations I find myself in.  I guess that’s one of the unintended benefits of surrendering into the pressure to create.

I drew this piece this afternoon while waiting in a fifteen passenger van in the cold with a co-worker who, unbeknownst to her, was teaching me how we inhibit healthy growth and self expression in ourselves and others when we buy into the repeated stories we tell.

After dinner, as I colored the piece, I began to understand the connection between it, the challenges of the day, and how it pertains to us all.  I hope you enjoy the gift.

If you love mandalas, I recommend visiting April Lindsay over at kindlethelight.  She creates beautiful, one-of-a-kind mandala greeting cards and has a great big beautiful heart.
