Flash Photo Fiction was not part of my plan for today’s blog post, but after I surpassed my 1,000 word goal on the first day of Camp NaNoWriMo, I took a break to read some of the blogs I follow and this short piece just came pouring out.  Thank you Alastair and Skye, for a fun segue into the rest of my day!

Alastair’s Photo Fiction and Blog

“All paths point within,”
she says, sporting a childlike grin.
“But you don’t understand,”
he frets, “it’s all about the win.”
“There’s so much more to the game you play,”
and brushing back his hair,
she looks into his eyes,
then time and she are no longer there.

Your feedback means a lot to me! Thank you so much :). I don’t write a lot of poetry and when I do I rarely share it, so hearing that you picked up on the rhythm and playful aspect really makes me smile!
