Doin’ It

June 20, 2013 by Angel Pricer

This morning, after a quiet start to the day, I opened the windows, ushering in  the cool air to awaken my senses and create the sensation of being connected within and without as I begin my Novel Assignment.

Writing this book is a calling, if for no one other than myself.  I am loving the way it continues to speak to me, both of my own life and that of Life, the greater force at play behind the screen.  In less than one hour, I put down 200 warm up words plus another 800 in a complete first chapter, and I’m NOT going back to edit.

When my man asked me what my plans were for the day I chuckled a little (there’s that word again!).  The “plan” is to write, go for a walk, write, have some lunch, relax in a sea-salt and lavender bath, and write some more.  Housework and food will fit somewhere in there after the important stuff (butt in chair, writing) is done.

Today is Cabin assignment for Camp NaNoWriMo and seeing the title of my novel, synopsis and excerpt published on the Camp site makes me smile.  This time, I’m REALLY doin’ it!

  1. I’m excited to follow you on your writing journey. Let’s have a virtual cup of tea and get to know each other better.

I would LOVE that, Lisa! Do you Skype? I’m imagining a safe, slightly-less-anonymous-than-blogging space of creative unfolding. Wield those Words – they want to be shared!

      • I do, occasionally, although I am about to head for my “summer home” (which means a professional summer theatre where my husband and I work) which has sketchy internet, so it may have to wait until I’m back in August. Meanwhile, we can get to know each other through our words. 😉

Sounds like you’ll have an abundance of inspiration to work with over the summer! I look forward to learning more 🙂 Cheers 🙂

    You go girl!
